Route Description

We have no recent survey of this route, but being a lade it should have very easy gradients.  A path is mapped alongside at least part of its length through Old Wick. Any modern surveys would be appreciated.

OS Landranger 12 (Thurso, Wick and surrounding area)

Heritage Information

This path follows a lade where water was siphoned out of Loch Hempriggs along this man-made channel to power the factories in Wick before flowing out into Wick Bay.
