Heritage Information
This track which runs along the south side of Auchinstarry Quarry park to meet the Coach Road is said to once have been part of the coach route from the canal wharves at Auchinstarry to the toll road to Stirling (now the A803). It has a very steep section which is perhaps why it fell out of use. We are told that this steep section is known as Mal Fleming's Brae after the carter that assisted at this point.
